Itinerary
DAY 01: UYUNI SALT FLATS TOUR – DAY 01
The experience begins with a thrilling pick-up from your hotel! You’ll join the group and embark on an exciting journey of scheduled visits! The first stop is the train cemetery! We can reach it within the first 15 minutes. Here, we get to enjoy a guided tour of a group of locomotives dating back to the 19th century. But wait, there’s more! After that, we’ll head to the community of Colchani, located on one of the edges of the salt flat. This is where we’ll have a more traditional and experiential experience, as we get to witness the incredible process of salt production. And that’s not all! There is a great variety of handicrafts based on this mineral available here. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
Finally, it’s time to enter Uyuni! Along the way, we’ll pass by one of the famous monuments of the Dakar Rally, the Playa Blanca museum, and the Plaza de las Banderas. This place is so popular because many travelers leave the flag of their country as a souvenir. And of course, we can’t forget to visit one of the icons of the entire salt flat: the salt stairs made by the artist Gaston Ugalde! Let’s take advantage of our time here and snap as many photos as possible! In the afternoon, we will visit the island of Incahuasi! This is where our experience ends on the shores of the salt flat. And guess what? We can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world! How amazing is that?
After that, we will return to the town of Uyuni for the night at the hotel.
DAY 02: UYUNI SALT FLATS TOUR – DAY 02
Our day starts with an exciting visit to the town of Pulacayo! Here, we will be amazed by a collection of old locomotives. Along the way, we will pass through a charming colonial town with beautiful churches. And the adventure continues! After that, we will visit the thermal baths and pass by a set of lagoons (green and blue) where we can enjoy the breathtaking sight of flamingos and have an outdoor lunch. But that’s not all! Finally, we will return to Uyuni around 6:00 p.m. What an incredible day full of amazing sights and experiences!

Recommendations

- You must have travel insurance that covers the needs that may arise.
FAQs
Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
It is not mandatory as such, but we always recommend it for safe planning to cover any needs that may arise during the trip. We have to prevent everything long before it happens.
Can I visit this destination at any time of the year?
Yes, but the best time to visit is during the rainy season from December to April. During the rest of the year, the presence of rain is not frequent, so the mirror effect is not always possible.
How many people attend the service?
Usually, in our experience, between 12 and 15 people participate, the group can of course be smaller, but this is the average number. We keep it small to keep the experience personal.
